Me
For as along as I can remember, I have been drawing. Or painting. Skating. Skateboarding. Adventuring outdoors with my sister Florence. Oh, and, you guessed it, even more drawing and doodling. My passion right now - faces. Eyes. People. Continuous line drawings. Patterns. Colour.
There is also a fashion in my work I think. I love clothes. Cool clothes. Vintage clothes. Patterns and styles that are eclectic and comfortable. If I can skate it it, and it makes me think of drawing then, I will probably wear it.
My dream: One day I am going to own a huge warehouse and a place by the beach. I will have my art studio that I can skate around and make works of art in, and then my beach where I can beachcomb and get inspired. That image fills my brain with excitement!
Scotland is where my mother is from. We go up to my Nantys and spend hours finding lots of creatures, pebbles and shells in the rockpools. It is freezing. But it is heaven. And I always get inspired to draw and make patterns there. My mother loves fashion, so I think I grabbed some of that off her.
India is where my dad’s family is from. I think that is where I get my love of pattern. Colour. Heat. Details of embroidery and elements on the clothing of my faces.
Art is all I want to do, for most of the day. If there is a job when I am older where I can skateboard and paint, that is for me… Well, and maybe criminology. I love anything to do with crime, the army, any kind of forces and survivalists…SAS SBS… and perhaps if life was different I would have went into the army. But, I had a tumor in my inner ear some years back and now have an implant. You cant see it, but it may prevent me going into the forces. That’s cool, because I would probably have been found drawing when I should have been doing something else :) Doodling on duty may not be the best thing for a soldier!
Reach out. Say hello. Enjoy my work.
